oral: arm & hammer toothpaste (all types, including the whitening one) |
I felt pretty stupid when I saw them in the store, as I packed three tubes of the whitening. It was harder to find it in stock at wal-mart... |

I was under the impression you can find nearly everything in Seoul. How much does deodorant go for? |

Anyone know if it is possible to buy size 13 UK size (14 in US sizes) out there? Should I buy extra shoes to bring with me?
Edit: just read a few more posts. It looks like I'm screwed. Can anyone shed any light? |

NOT FOR THE GUYS:
If you prefer a certain brand of tampon you might want to bring it. I have not seen o.b. here though that is my preferred brand. I had to stock up on something similar at Boots when I was in Thailand because everything here is applicator. Also, if you need a size for heavier days you may want to bring that too.
Plus size girls: Bring plenty of bras and underwear. You can find other stuff at OKBT in Itaewon or the Plus Zone in the doota! basement in Dondaemun, but it will cost a bit. Marks & Spencer does have some stuff up to a size 16/18 US and they are scattered around Seoul in higher end shopping centers.
Haddon Supermarket has some Western goods that I have not seen in Itaewon. It is located near Hannam Heights apartments in Oksu, on line 3. It's nice for baking supplies. |

tefal/t-fal non-stick frying pans are sold at (nearly) all supermarkets in seoul and most of gyeonggi province for less than 50,000 won, depending on your culinary needs. its not worth bringing over. |

I'm thinking of bringing my violin to practice. Has anyone brought a violin or musical instrument? Any advice such as if it is a good idea?
Thanks! |

I wish i brought more deordorant. NOt too mention i'm not to fond of korean underwear. It sucks.
also a lot of guys here have problems with korean condoms being too small. YOu might want to bring a years supply.
I wish I had brought a video tape of the simpsons. I haven't had cable this time around so i've been dying for some decent tv. |
Condoms? What, are a bunch of Dirk Diggler types / ex pornstars deciding that educating the youth of a nation in a foreign language is their new 'passion?" |

I wish I had brought a power strip to charge all of my Western appliances at once. It's really, really annoying to have to rotate between charging my camera, computer, iPod... |

What, are you telling us that you don't practise safe sex in a foreign country, or that you just don't ever get laid.... .......ever...... ...... ?

yeah, you're not going to find anything. Sorry.
And to the girl a few posts back wondering about tampons: Natracare (a german brand) tampons are available in some Homepluses, I've also seen them in drugstores in the Hongdae area. They are available with or without applicator, come in regular and super, and are made of 100% organic unbleached cotton! |
