I've been to Gimhae a few times and it is pretty bad. Standard middle of the road korean city with not much doing, however it has a Homeplus(you will learn) so its not all bad.
The saving grace is it is extremely close to Busan. i think buses go every 10 minutes to Seomyeon(shopping Busan), Haeundae(beach busan) and Nampodong(old downtown Busan).
Could be worse places but I know a couple of people there and there is no ex-pat setup to speak of, there is plenty of Korean nightlife but nothing that you would be used to. |

Oh gosh is it really that bad???
Yeah but I guess I will survive if it is close to Busan!!
So what is this HomePlus??? A big shopping centre or something?

HomePlus is basically a 3 or 4 story Woolworths and K-mart put together with a few food outlets in the basement. |
