I'm sure if the price is right, just about any person you meet with a car. |

You have better luck finding old US or Canadian plates in the antique market just east of Dongdaemun.
Korean plates? Good luck.
Anyone with a car won't give you one, unless they're really desperate. The penalty for getting caught with one plate is HIGH!!! (They are sealed on with tamper-proof screws). |

Isn't it just a screw? Anyways, the plates stick with the car, even when sold. I've been looking to Korean snag plates for years, but I have yet to find a legal method to get authentic ones. You probably have a better chance getting North Korean plates, than South Korean ones. |

Yes, it is a screw, but at the D/R MV's they use a special 'peeler' first to take off the green seal around the screw first before they unscrew the plate off. Probably not that hard to take off by yourself, especially if you apply some pressure on the wrench, but it is there as a visible deterrent. Nork plates easier, for sure. |

If you don't pay your car tax, eventually the plates will be removed by the city.
When I bought a used car, they did put on new plates. |
