Yes, I was suprised to see a poster for this event when I visited Itaewon for the first time last Saturday, as I always assumed that western bands mainly stuck to Japan for the Asian leg of their tours. Whilst I may give DP a miss is there a listings guide giving details of bands due to visit Korea in the near future I wonder?

Try ringing up the 1330 help hotline. They're usually pretty good.

I guess they can play "My Woman From Tokyo" now? It used to be banned from airplay as recently as 1995.

There was no reason given.
My friend and I used to go to the listening rooms up at Namsan library and check out some of the old (and new) vinyl records they had there. The librarian in charge of that section showed us a list of songs banned from airplay and that song was on the list. There were a lot of songs banned, especially Rolling Stones songs. There were no reasons given.

"on-air" and live "on stage" laws may be different..

I'm in Ulsan but will probably go to Daegu tomorrow to investigate personally via the information booths, starting at the airport. I'll pm you if I find out anything. Inspector Clousseau out. Laughing

I'm at the Ulsan airport information desk and the ladies here have tracked down the tickets. For the Daegu show March 26 they are 80 and 70 thousand won. Online ticket reservation is at www.ticketlink.co.kr
Specifically for the Daegu show you can call the Daegu Convention Center at 053 422 4666. You can deposit the money for the tickets via Daegu Bank to the account of 'D and C Entertainment'. This account number is 006-04-000478-2
The Daegu concert is on a Friday.

Will you actually be watching Deep Purple?

How many original members are still in the band?
