Sad news. He was a star when I joined this place, with obvious wit and intelligence. Also one of the more sensible posters around. Will be missed.

That's just sad. Condolences. The guy was one of the brightest and most intelligent posters on here. Always was well-thought out. Rest In Peace.

What terrible news. I never met the man, but I did some copy editing work for him a few years back.

We've lost a class act. RIP.

One minute you are reading a neat post about something cool, in a clamly written manner from JongnoGuru, the next thing you read this thread ...

Nice to see that all of us who have been around a while chimed in on this. He was a great poster, funny, informative, helpful and he will be missed. The Dave's community, if I can call it that, was richer for having him and poorer for losing him.

His words gave me a special tingle. I think I told him at one point that I had a crush on him, soley based on his postings here. He struck me as....a youthful soul, able to show wisdom and folly, as needed.

Death by motorbike in Korea.........poetic for him, I think. RIP, Guru

Horrible news.

I'm very sorry to hear this.

Did he leave behind any family in Korea?

To the best of my knowledge, he had 3 dogs, including the one in his avatar, and the gullflend.

The last time we *talked* (which really was an exchange of PM here), he mentioned a lady... but no kids.

That's very sad news. Never met the man in real life but on this forum he was always respectable, witty, smart, funny and always polite and friendly.
