i've just moved in there (near dongguk university), and don't yet know my way around. does anyone know if there good shops, bars, clubs, restaurants etc around there?

You are in the land of Pet Stores and Motorcycle shops.... Tway-gay-row is known for that.
You need to skip over one subway stop to Myeong-Dong for lots of lit-up nightlife and shopping. That area is really packed during the day, and up until 10pm in the evenings with shoppers.
Also, you are close to Dongdaemun stadium, etc. Go there for more to see/do.
You can also go to Hye-Wha stop just North of that on the subway. That area has a lot of college life and places to eat. I like that area.
You are not in the prettiest area, but you are central to a lot of popular stuff in Seoul. |
