And for those that keep supporting the concept of leisure drug use, your beliefs are your own and should remain with yourself. Why discuss how great drugs are on a forum for teaching in a country where they are illegal? |
Asked and answered. I guess the pro-drug people here don't really think their words can come back and make us all look bad, but the difference between them and SS: Steve can get in a major newspaper anytime he wants. I've never seen "Old Gil" as a byline. |
What is your point? |
That you might think that your words here might not hurt the community as a whole, but you are wrong. Some of the people who work against us have a lot more media clout than you, and the capacity to air their distaste in far larger forums than this. If you honestly don't think that your drug advocacy here on this forum being published in a major newspaper is a non-issue, then there really is no hope of convincing you to do the right thing and stop talking about it. |

Sure, words can be exaggerated or misrepresented but that goes with the territory I'm afraid. The most important thing is that this board continues to engage in open debate, irrespective of people like SS. If the debate is limited to a discussion about why alcohol consumption is legal when the evidence suggests that some criminalised drugs are no worse then what is the problem? This is the same debate that rages in politicial and academic circles back home after all. I would certainly agree that anyone advocating drugs use here in Korea is worthy of criticism, but this thread doesn't seem to have gone that way. I don't think you should worry about people who can't see the bigger picture for whatever you write here they will always hate. |
