Russian Gostiny Dvor is a Russian Restaurant that was recommended by my Russian friend Elena. Now she says that this is one of the few authentic Russian Restaurants in Korea. It’s over by Dongdaemun Stadium Station Exit 7 (Sorry my mistake.) [The name of the station has been changed to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park] and this area is like little Russia

wylies99-I concur. Adventurer told me about this place and it's fantastic. Has anyone else eaten there? |

After reading that, I'm definitely heading there tonight for dinner.
What are the directions to getting there exactly? |

Go out exit 7 (it's actually kind of hard to find it, the track area was under construction).
Make a u-turn on your right side. Take your first left down the small alley. The building will be in the alley on the left side. 2nd floor, yellow sign. |

Obviously. Any issue with my directions?
I liked the beef stroganoff. The borscht was good. Pelmeni was good. Salmon...not to my taste. Nice beer on the menu as well.
A bit disappointed at the lack of pirozhki. I guess I'll have to find a nice uzbek place in the area. To tell the truth, it's a bit intimidating talking about restaurants around there because there's not much English or even Korean signage, and they seem to vary a lot in quality. |

| I wish these blogs would have pictures of the exterior. Would really help finding/remembering these places. Anyways I'm 90% sure I've been there (if not there another Russian place out exit 7) and it's really good. Try the caviar pancakes. |

| I think that I went there once before with an Uzbek friend. If I recall correctly, the food was fairly good. Nonetheless, I still prefer the Russian Uzbek restaurant up the hill and around the corner past the foreign store in Itaewon. |

It's a small sign out in front.
Next time, have a kvass.
Oh, and if a customer doesn't know much about Russian food, that's ok. The staff is helpful and friendly. |

Yeah, I love those places. That's definitely a great area for food.
I love the Kazakh restaurant, the Uzbek restaurant, and the classy Russian one in this ally with the beautiful chairs, the kvass and good food. I love Central Asian and Russian food. It's definitely one of the top for me in terms of the cuisine. We're lucky that Seoul has good Russian food. |
