I've heard there is a Subway or two in Daegu. Is that true? If so, where are they?

There's one in Jisan Dong and one near the Emart somewhere else. Okay, I can't remember the area name of that one, but the Jisan Subway is located right behind the Dong-A department store.

There's another Subway about 500 meters from Anjirang subway station, in a big store called Fillmart ( Korean pron. "Pil marto")

I could go for a foot long veggie on whole wheat.

Not just any old one, but the exact same taste I usually had in Canada from coast to coast, from Victoria to northern Manitoba to Windsor to Montreal. I was pleasantly amazed to be able to always get my favourite just the way I like it. Even the ambiance was the same.

How is the subway in Daegu different than the Canadian or American locations? I wonder if the bread or veggies would vary from the standard.

The answer to this question will determine how soon I'll go. This weekend I'm tempted. This spring most likely.

There's one fairly near my house and the taste is pretty much the same, though they do tend to be a little excessively generous with the onions.

The veggie and bread selections are pretty similar, price is cheaper.

I went to the Anjirang Fillmart Subway last night. It was very easy to find. Thank you Pink Freud for the clear directions.
I had a 6inch (here they call them small and large) turkey breast. It was great. I've had Subway in Seoul a few times and Daegu's was same, and both are pretty much the same as home - Canada for me. Some of the meats look a bit different though, the ham is ugly I think. But they make up for that with their coconut-toffee cookies which are fabulous! I never had them anywhere else before.
