|

To those of you out there not receiving health insurance coverage from your employer, I would like you to consider this: If you subscribe to having a physical health exam each year(for obvious reasons), ask that your employer pay the cost. It's a reasonable proposal considering the
employer is not providing you with health coverage(bound by law). If the employer is not willing to accept this proposal then report them to the proper authorities. You will come to realize the employer cares LESS about your health and that you might want to consider leaving your position with them.
your thoughts on this matter.

my boss offered, but i never bother getting any health insurance for my entire year~not the soundest decision, but i was careful and only visited the doctor 4 times, each time was only like 7,000-10,000 won. think it would have been 80% less with insurance~ i don't find the doctors really useful anyway, one guy told me it was impossible for me to have an allergic reaction to pollution, and wouldn't give me enough antibotics to get over the first terrible cold/flu i had,
gotta love the 3day special, 3 packets of pills that cure all aliments! |

antibiotics do not help flus or colds. flus or colds are caused by viruses not bacteria so you would just be wasting the medicine anyhow. good job to your doctor. |

Speaking as a qualified microbiologist, bacteriologist, virologist (yay I have a BSc in an 'ology), I agree with Kim. Antibiotics for a cold?
Typical ESL teacher hahahaaaaaa
Take an allergy test - it may be as simple as an allergy to 'alcohol' - oohh noooo
If you have a job, try and keep it. Whats with the 'leave your position thing'? |

yes but after you've had a virus for a while it lets your respiratory tract become susceptible to infections most commonly caused by bacteria! which can be treated by antibotics! i only go to the doctor as a last resort> > >
but the DOC did do me a service i guess, i built up my own imunities after that and haven't been sick since, with a little help from my good friend Hong-sam/ Ginseng> > > |
