Really? does thw whining sound of bloodsuckers landing on you and biting, not bother you at all??? |
For the small number of them that I've encountered here, not really. |
You've been lucky so far, Zed. Do you have aircon? When I had aircon I never noticed mogies because I never had to open the window and mogie's hate cold.
If you don't have one, I betyour luck runs out soon. Now that you're thinking about them you're gonna feel the sting of a zillion angry zappers! |

I never had air-con before now but I don't like cold either. I'm either lucky or not as sensitive to them as others I guess. |

For successful sleep in Korea, you must have a) a mosquito net b)ear plugs to block out the noise from the street c) work out regularly to make you tired on time d) Keep off the caffiene and cigarettes |
Interesting.
I use screens on my windows.
No ear plugs as I live high enough not hear the traffic and one side of the building is on a mountain side.
I do work out but in the morning.
I drink coffee in the afternoon.
And....(drum roll)
I sleep like a baby.
I guess it varies from people to people.
Back home I lived in a busy city neighborhood so noise is the same...I take no notice.
Mosquitoes...at my parents place in the country you cannot stay outside at night they are so many of them.
I get the odd stinger and sucker in the house but not that many (we are lucky). |

If there is one buzzing around my apartment, I just put a little repellant around my shoulders. Nothing like what I had in Alaska! What's a few mozzies! |

Southern Maryland = penninsula = mosquitos.
I'm curious as to what I get here... I've travelled everywhere in America during the summer and the worst I've seen is still at home (worse than the swamps of Florida).
I do however want to get an A/C... just not sure how it'll work with this whole lack of windows thing my apartment has... |

I expect that you could avoid the worst of it by going at a particular time of year like August perhaps. |

I wonder if they are doing anything about the problem or if they cant because of environmental laws against chemicals or whatever. |

Yeah, why don't they just ask Exxon for advice? |
