It's a joke.

A the top of the CE forum there were like 4 threads with "So and So is dead". Then someone made a thread called "Rock and Roll is Dead" (obviously joking about the other "dead" threads) and so I decided to go with Colbert's "Dead to Me" schtick and of course, apply it to Colbert. At one point the first 5~6 threads all had "____ is dead" on them.
