I had LASEK at Dream Eye in 2010. It was mostly a success but there was a bit of residual corneal scarring in my left eye that never fully went away.

About 3 years later I developed numerous floaters in both eyes, including some large dark ones. The ophthalmologist and the retina specialist I went to both said they don't know the cause of the floaters. Most never get really bad floaters, for some people it happens naturally with age, and some people have reported getting floaters soon after laser eye surgery. As far as I know I'm the first person in my family to have this issue, and the only one who has had laser eye surgery.

I can't really say if LASEK was a cause or contributing factor to mine, so feel free to take this post for what it's worth.

Working in the optical industry in the States, I talk about LASIK a lot, and anecdotally, it really seems like there are way more complications with cheap Korean LASIK than you find in the States. Take this with a grain of salt, but it might be a case of getting what you pay for.

I went for a consultation at some place in Gangnam that my doctor friend recommended. The consultation was very thorough, but I went home to think about it after they said that I might have night-vision issues because my dilated pupil size is a bit larger than most. They played it down at the office, but from what I read, it's a common complaint, and I wasn't interested. I opted to stick with glasses and contact lenses.
