|
|
hi all,
random question, i'm leaving in about a month and am in the process of mailing some stuff back. last week i sent a large, heavy box back home full of stuff for only 30,000. today i took a slightly smaller, lighter box to the post office and they said it's too big for surface and can only go air for a whopping 110,000.
the only difference is last week there was different, friendlier employee working. they want me to repack it in two smaller boxes they sold me. they even said the largest size box THEY sell is too big for surface?
is there really a limit or what? even a few months ago i sent a box i swear was at least as big as what i'm tried to send today without any problems. i'm wondering if i should haul it to another postoffice or repackage it. both are hassles.
thanks in advance..... |

It depends a bit on where you are sending it but for the most part the largest k-post box you can send by surface is a #5 box and a limit of 20kg (44lbs for our American friends).
IF you are creating your own box (cutting one down) the largest size is 2 linear meters (200cm) as calculated by wrapping your tape measure around the box and adding the length. (w+w+h+h+L)<200cm. The weight limit is still 20kg for surface.
You CAN send larger boxes by air but you will pay for it.
