Want to rent a tent/sleeping bag, etc. Any places in Cheju-do to do this and good camp spots to boot?
Looking to rent a bike and do some camping there-around Halla-san.
Need info from camper/hikers. |

i know there are bike rental shops, but not sure of camping gear, all the best camping would be around HALLASAN, and i think they have reopened the top Paekngokdam in FEB, your lucky i had to sneak up~
you need good waterproof camping gear though, the weather is subject to quick change and Cheju recieves the most rain of Korea> > >
there's a designated camp ground near a waterfall directly south of the MT., and you need to get a camping permit along with the hiking permit to go into the interior of the park, really nice, you'll probably want to start from the east side Seonpanak trail or Gwaneumsa trail(has a temple), longer trails and less people, beautiful valley, i want to go back there and camp out for a few days> > >
the tourist info center GWAN-GWANG JONG-BO at the Jungmun resort is great, the guy speaks good ENG. and calls around for you to make reservations/rentals etc. and find out details for you, there is a bus directly there from the airport (read the poles outside for bus #and times) there is also a tourist desk at the internationl airport side~not as good though~
hope that helps some~ |

Just wanted to revive this thread as I have the same questions and this is all a search of Dave's revealed. I'm hoping to do some camping on Jeju but prefer beach side accomodations, also looking for rental places for equipment... |
