I figured it would be of some value one day when their regime falls. It would also be pretty cool to show off to a lady when trying to pick her up.

1. you can get it as a novelty on ebay

2. it is overpriced and not worth much as tons of it is available

3. possessing it in south korea is illegal

Uhuuu! 2 peanuts and a half a piece of bread. That's about a day's salary in case you need a currency exchange rate.

I remember a story about a fictitious banana republic country that printed money on its toilet paper, with the notes on the roll adjusting to the rate of inflation as you used the toilet paper. That seems pretty clever.

You can buy it from gift shops that are near where the DMZ tours leave. You can also buy North Korean wine, which is actually not bad.

Odd, then why would they sell it at the DMZ in South Korea? Another Korean law oddity.
