Sorry about yet another iPhone thread, but I keep on getting these texts in Korean from places I have no affiliation with. Is there any way I can block these, or is there a spam folder or something for texts?
Thanks! |

on android there's an option to "register as spam" and to block numbers, i assume there's a similar one in iOS. |

Problem is, those are likely sent by computer using a fake or temp number, anyway. Stinks, I know. |

Thanks for the help!
I'll have to check out the option to register as spam. |

A lot of these numbers have the pattern 070-****-****
So you can calculate how many numbers you have to "register as spam" to be guaranteed your peace
Unfortunately, the "register as spam" function doesn't seem to allow wildcards, e.g. "block all numbers 070-*". But there are apps to help you filter your calls, though I've never tried them.
Apparently it is possible that some of the spam leads back to a real number, and may appear as a friend suggestion on Kakao Talk It's always guys, never girls, even if the spam was an invitation for sex or porn. |

Actually, it does allow you to filter all calls from "070" numbers, since when you block a number it says "all numbers beginning with ... will be blocked". Since I blocked 070, I haven't had one text from those guys. Might wanna block 02 as well, since all the calls I care about come from 010 numbers. |

Oh thanks, I wasn't sure to try the 070-only bit because I feared it might block the 0-7-0 combo anywhere in a number
I'll do that too then. Good-bye spam! (I hope) |
