If you compare the number of rainy days per year, London and Seoul are not that far apart.
This year had to be the absolute worst though, but I'm fearing this will be the norm. |

I hate the summers (June and July), but from Ipju (early august) things get much more interesting.
I love the blue skies and cool nights of september and october. |

I'm from the UK and I'm in two minds about the weather. The winter here is pretty good- nice and sunny and the cold doesn't cut through you in the way it does back home. The summer is horrible though. I hate it.
Spring was pretty nice, yellow dust or not. I haven't seen the Autumn yet but I'm looking forward to it |

as a limey - and one from manchester at that - i'm positively delighted by the prospect of flying home for a while next week. i never thought i'd long for english weather.
its pathetic, but i really do get affected by the weather. i find i can achieve so much more when the sun is out. these days i wake up late, and can hardly be bothered doing anything. |

What are you talking about...Seoul beats such climate havens as Reykjavik, Murmansk, Death Valley, Khandahar, The Jungles of Burma, Fairbanks Alaska, and so on. |

I know..South Korea is special because it has four distinct seasons...
That being said, I think that - overall - Korea has the worst weather in the world..
Winter - Cold, windy, not much snow
Spring - A couple of nice weeks...yellow dust
Summer - 5 days of blue sky
Fall - A few nice weeks
What has happened to summer the last couple of years? It's depressing...And the forecast for the next 10 days - showers/rain/thunderstorms. |
Meh, apart from the Yellow dust it seems about the same as the same as the average English seasons with less rain. |

I feel like the good weather (sunny days in the summer, clear skies in the fall) has been on the decline over the past few years. No real evidence to back this up, just an observation. |

may not just be Korea.
I've been frequently told the winters are far milder and the summers far hotter than say 20 years ago, or 30,40.
also, I read that this year's July was the wettest July on record in Chicago, USA, and their records assuredly predate the Korean ones. |

Here in Seoul the humidity has been brutal. Not too hot, but the humidity makes it feel gross outside. |

I've been here almost 13 years. This is this coolest, rainiest summer that I can remember. I've only been tempted to turn on the AC once or twice! But the humidity has been a killer!!
We left our car parked at Incheon airport for 2 weeks in July. When we came back, there was mold!! I've got one of those pink hippos in my car now!
And this past winter was the snowiest that I ever remember. It was darn cold, but I remember colder ('97 or '98 and '00 or '01). |

I find that in the UK its opposite, in the last few years our winters are getting colder. Boris keeps saying that London doesn't need snow ploughs through as apparently 3 years of snow in a row is just a freak event not a pattern yet. |

the Korean humidity in the summer is unavoidable and inescapable.
Which makes it and you feel gross whether it's hotter or cooler. |

Last year was worse than this year, I think. But I never actually met a Korean summer I liked. Winter FTW. |
