I have been offered a contract for Kids College in Dongseon-dong, Songbuk-gu in Seoul. The position is (supposedly) near Haehwa subway station, and I would be living within walking distance. The address of the school is this: Fashion Bldg. 2nd floor, 120 ,Dongseon-dong 2ga Sungbuk- gu, Seoul, Korea. Does anybody know anything about this school? I have heard some scary things about Kids College on Dave's, has that changed? (a lot of posts are old). Any info on the area or the school would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. |

Dongseon-dong is actually around Sungshin Women's University Station, so it's 2 stops up line 4. I lived in the general area for over four years and really liked it, but know nothing about that Kid's College. I've seen it, but never actually met anyone who worked there. |

I work there at this school and I can say from personal experience that its a good school to work for.
Pay is never late, housing is average (but you can pick your own), you get to leave after your last class, and not too much paperwork. Its close to 3 and 4 lines so its easy to get too.
Honestly, there is a lot less drama here than at my old school and the classes are much more organized. I have never had to work after school and I have never had to work on weekends and I've been here for two years now.
All around good school. |

Do not under any circumstance accept a position at this school. The owner will fire you at 11months 3 weeks for BS reasons and deny you your severance and plane ticket home. This school 'was' good when I left, but it has been in steady decline for the last 2 years. Avoid at all costs.
- They won't pay you on time.
- They have absolutely no money and are on the verge of bankruptcy.
- They mistreat both foreing workers and Korean staff. |
