This festival is held at Seoul City Hall down to the stream. There are representatives from 60 different countries wearing native costumes and performing on a large stage. But the food tents make this a great festival. There's food, beer, and wine from all around the world. Get off the subway at City Hall Station (line 1). It usually runs from noon into the evening.

If you come tomorrow, get here early because stuff sells out fast. Recommend the south african lamb and the french cabbage and sausage. The brazilian cocktail is good too. No greece or russia tents though.

Another pathetic photo op and pretense that Korea is multicultural, open, welcoming and inviting. Get all the foreigners up on stage in silly costumes and dance around. While they're at it let's get the police to photograph them all to look for 'foreign criminals'. Let's have K-pop flash mobs and end this great 'international event' with a giant screen showing K-dramas. Then Monday it's back to programs depicting these same silly foreigners as rapist, drug addicted paedophiles with forged degree and AIDS. No self-respecting foreigner should attend this propaganda event. If they want to be truly respectful of foreigners let them make real, genuine efforts at change that can be seen throughout the year. Not just in a bullshit 'multicultural' event that last for two days and has foreigners dressed up in silly costumes. The proof of a culture's attitude towards foreigners is in the pudding. And this particular pudding is full of some very unpleasant ingredients.

Ignore this bullshit event.

Nobody cares about the singing and dancing. Bring on the food! The food was very good and they lined up the food tents so there was room to move around. Gavin was at the very end, next to the stream. He wasn't his usual bouncy self. He looked like he'd had a few and needed a nap.
There was a lot of good food from some smaller countries. I remember the food we really enjoyed best was from: South Africa, Laos, Turkey, and Thailand. Unfortunately the Thai tent was first in line and was swamped with people as soon as it opened. We'll look through some of our pictures and talk about specific food in a couple days. But it was well worth attending and it will continue on Sunday.

Were they wearing orange or yellow? I saw many people wearing those colors and handing out papers, for some reason or another.

I saw them there and in the subway stations of line 1, especially City Hall Station. It's mostly older Koreans and some younger ones. They all seem to be wearing yellow jackets and caps and they seem happy, which is very, very, very odd for older Koreans. Cult life?

I went and everyone at the tents were selling out quickly. Apparently this festival gets bigger every year.

I hope next year the countries bring more beer. That always sells out first.

Yes i saw those yellow shirt wearing cultists too.

I dislike them very much, even though they were just peasant old people and indoctrinated teenagers. I hate cults, and cults in BIG numbers is kind of scary.

For some reason the British tent had a deal on beer, one for 6,000 and 4 for 20,000. The South African tent had Hunter's and Savanna Dry Cider for 5,000 each. We couldn't even get close to the German tent.
