The pathetic thing is this. Pop music (the good and the bad) is a Western cultural product. Koreans have adopted it (the very, very worst of it unfortunately) added some really effeminate boys and annoying synchronized dances - and tried to sell it back to the west as a 'Korean' cultural product. That might pass in other Third World countries, but selling a Western cultural product back to the West as ssentially 'Korean'(and wrapping it up in Korean nationalism/ self esteem for goodness sake) is just beyond rediculous. They think that because they can take one Western product - say, the car or television - and sell it back to the West, and have Westerners buy it, that they can do the same with cultural products.

Pathetic.

Well what are they supposed to do? Not try to export it? Wouldn't that be more pathetic?

Should Domino's Pizza never open in Italy?

It's a free market. If people will buy it, then go ahead and make some money.

I'd call cries from the wilderness on internet forums lecturing succesful business types more pathetic than that.

I'd be very surprised if Dominos Pizza had any restaurants in Italy. I didn't spot a single foreign pizza chain while I was there.

Sheesh...

K-pop sucks. Only Koreans and a handful of Japanese and French people like it. But it's OK that they like it, because people can listen to whatever kind of music they want. That goes for everyone in this thread, too.

These three countries (FJK) have one thing in common - CULTURAL SOPHISTICATION.
You ajoshis (with negative mindsets) will never understand it, so stop trying.

I'm convinced now. If a country with as many great bands as France likes K-Pop, then it *must* be good.
