Can anyone recommend a reputable travel agent in (Seoul) Korea? I've been looking at online websites for flights this summer and the prices are already sky high, so I was wondering whether I might be able to find something slightly cheaper through a Korean agent.
I've heard fairly positive things about Kangsan Travel in the past, but would appreciate any other options anyone might have. |

Perhaps this should be in the travel forum. |

A travel agent might be able to source a good deal but the tradeoff of course is that they'll tack on a commission.
That said, I used Soho Travel this winter & they were awesome -- friendly & on the ball. |

Xanadu in Itaewon is reputable, though not necessarily a great deal. |

I think pretty rare you'll get cheaper through an agent than online, but in many cases you'll find some that offer the same prices. Try Top Travel or Hana Tour. They both have websites so you can source the prices online and then go into one of their agencies (They're all over the place) with information and prices in hand.
Personally I'd steer clear of Itaewon as most of the agencies tack on that English speaking surcharge.
Plenty of agents elsewhere will speak very good English (being that they are in the international travel business), and many have enough lateral thinking to hunt for better deals and different days rather than just automatically quoting overpriced Asiana and KAL. |
