Hopefully, someone can confirm and provide the information I am looking for.
1. As I understand it a LOR is not needed to transfer an E-2 visa once the contract is completed. Correct?
2. Since the visa/ARC are now valid for 13 months does the visa holder get the entire 13th month to transfer the visa or does it have to be done sooner than this?
3. If the contract is completed and a D10 visa is applied for and given then you get 6 months to find a job. Correct?
4. Once a job is found how difficult is it to change the D10 to an E-2?
5. What's the difference between transferring an E-2 visa at the end of a contract and getting a D10 visa at the end of the contract (aside from the time difference)?
6. Re-Entry - I know the rules changed a couple of years ago and anyone on an E-2 no longer required a re-entry permit. I returned this year. Is this policy still in effect? |

1) correct.
2) any time within the month is fine.
3) yes.
4) same as a transfer E2 to E2.
5) yes. All registered foreigners are permitted to leave and return during the validity of their ARC (exception for F5s).
