Obama Launches More Realistic 'I Have Big Ideas But We'll See How It Goes' Campaign Slogan!

Many pundits have already condemned the new slogan, saying that while its language may capture the spirit of the political moment, its rhetoric is too optimistic.

"On the one hand, the slogan works because it avoids using overly presumptive words like 'win,' 'tomorrow,' 'future,' or 'better,'" Politico's chief White House correspondent Mike Allen said. "But using a phrase like 'We'll See' is also misleading, because it implies there is a slight possibility that something could happen. Unfortunately, voters need to realize that, at this point, nothing they could ever envision for the futureand I seriously mean nothinghas any chance of ever becoming a reality."

I couldn't find the Obama birther thread (maybe it was deleted?) and I didn't want to start a new one so I hijacked this one. My apologies.

Recently, I saw an interview with a guy named Maraniss on CNN who wrote a book titled 'Barack Obama: The Story'

He spoke of a few inconsistencies and embellishments Obama had in his book. For example he said he didn't start on his HS basketball team because he was Black (the irony...lol) but in reality others said he was the 8th or 9th best player on the team. Not even close to first team quality.

Anyway, he said he spoke to friends of his mothers, who was nicknamed 'Stanley' and a few of them were with her at the hospital and others remember getting a phone call saying 'Stanley just had a baby' and of visiting her at home.

Also, he said that the precursor to the INS at that time was watching his father very closely over visa issues and such and he and his mother were on their watchlist and thet there is no way Obama could have been born overseas without the government noting it.

Just something for you birthers. It won't do any good but just thought i'd pass it along. My view is that there were just too many people involved for Obama to hide it.
