Is there anybody who has made the journey from Phuket airport to Ko phi phi Don that is willing to share tips? I'm wondering if it may be easier to to fly into Krabi and go to Ko Phi Phi Don instead ( albeit more expensive, from the airfare prices i've compared) . Thanks! |

I don't travel to Ko Phi Phi so I can not give you details to anwser your question, but I can give you a heads up about Phuket airport. The taxi maffia is in full effect there and a ride to any of the beaches will cost you around $20 usd. Not a big amount in most places, but more than you would expect to pay for transportation in Thailand. |

I don't think so but I could be wrong.
Taxi (or private ride if you know someone or have transportation pre-booked via your hotel) to the beach and boat over to the island.

I went to Koh Phi Phi last year but I flew from Bangkok to Krabi with Air Asia. I got a bus from the airport to Ao Nang which was about 3. From Ao Nang, I got a ferry for about 5 one way.
If you are staying in Phuket, find a travel agency who sells ferry tickets. There should be loads of them if you go someway touristy. This usually includes minibus transfer from where you are travelling from to the ferry. Cheaper than using taxis.
