Hello,
I'm from Ireland and am working in a Hagwon here.

My last hagwon job, I left after 4 years last December.
I have recently heard that I could be entitled to claim some pension money back.

I know American citizens can do this in Korea when they leave, but for Irish citizens it's a little different right??

I'm not sure what pension amount I was paying in my last job as pay stubs weren't mandatory!

What do I need to do? Should I contact last employer and get a specific form or something? I'm really confused, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Only Canadians, Americans and Australians can get a refund of their NPS account.

South Africans are exempt from paying in.
It is a sunk fund for the Irish, Brits and Kiwis.

You can however contact the NPS and get a report on the balance in your pension fund (or lack thereof if you worked at a typical hagwon).
