Thanks.

I figured it must be the same from what I read over at xda, but I thought asking here would get a better reception lol.

Right, now I'm gonna give it a bash.

found this on android forums

"Samsung have made an app to solve this. Its called Easy Phone Sync. Its in the Google play store. You also need to download the app for mac from the easyphonesync website (google it)
Run it on your phone, then on the Mac, and it mounts the phone, and syncs Itunes. It will even copy pics & contacts from your Iphone back up storted on the mac.?

Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OTA update has just been released for Korean S3s, does anyone know if it's safe to install for rooted devices?

The JB OTA is just a leak, not official release. I used it for a couple days but I hated the annoying big SKT letters it put in the left top part of my status bar. To get it to install I had to go back to official firmware, official recovery then install and re-root.

Hi everyone,

I've tried to root my new Olleh S3 multiple times but have failed. No access to a PC at all. Followed XDA instructions. Epic fail.

SO. If there is anyone in the Daejeon area willing to help me root it I would be eternally grateful. I'd also be willing to offer a small stipend. PM me and I'll get back in touch with you. Thanks!

The Korean model comes with DMB as standard. There is a small retractable antenna built into the phone, and a native DMB app. TBH, I have never used mine once, so I'm not sure how good it is.

can i just ask what is the model name of the 3G SGS3 in Korea?

I currently have the international SGS3 (I9300) in Australia and i was wondering if i can use it in South Korea.

Thanks.

So now that the S3 is on Jellybean... Is it just me, or did the notification bar become more jerky when you pull it down?

Another thing, I'm using Nova Launcher and with Jellybean I have a "clickthrough" effect: When I press the home button, with ICS it used to wake the phone and take me to the currently running app or the currently visible screen. With the JB update, the home button acts exactly as if the phone was on, i.e. "quit" the running program and take me to the desktop, or the main home screen. I have to use the power button to unlock if I want the old behaviour.

Might be that NL is behind the update curve, but at the moment I find that and the jerky notification bar very annoying.
