I've been holding off for a long time. I've been waiting over 2 years to upgrade to a smart phone. Pretty much I'm the only one with an idiotic stupid phone from friends and family.

So I've decided to get a smart phone finally. I was waiting for the Iphone 5 but after thinking about it, I'll finally pass on it.

So what would you guys advise. Should I get the Galaxy S III now or wait for the Note 2? I'm guessing it's the hardware on the Note 2 that counts.
I love the size for sure but is it worth carrying around that big thing in my pocket?

Any input would be helpful in making my decision.

For what it is worth, if you have waited more than 2 years...as I have done as well...then wait the 2 more months for the Note 2 to make your decision.

I have little doubt that the Note 2 will be worth it.

I decided against the Note because of its size. The Note 2 will be even bigger. I think the S3 is as big as a cellphone needs to be.

Precisely my reasoning as well...but obviously with a different outcome in decision making. Wink

The S3 is big but not too big, and it is lightning fast. However, like all Android phones, the real issue is app compatibility. Some of the apps and game I used on my old S1 won't run on the S3...

Get the s3 and the nexus 7. Should be cheaper and you get the best of both worlds.

well if you don't already have an iphone, i don't see how that would matter for you. personally, i'd go with the s3. the note looks cool, but it seems more like a tablet than a phone imo.
