Lately my torrent speeds have been crawling along. They used to fly down the pipes.I am with LG Telecom, and I wonder if they have started throttling torrents?

Mine are usually really quick. Maybe you've hit a limit and they've throttled your speed.

Have you updated your client?

I had updated uTorrent to the most recent version and my download speeds went down to barely anything. I uninstalled it and installed an older version and my speeds went back to normal.

OP down speeds or up speeds?
do a glasnost test http://broadband.mpi-sws.org/transparency/bttest.php
you also have the option to force encryption in your torrent client

my experience says bittorrent shaping does happen, and time of day is important (ie 3am = no throttling)
i'm with kt
