|
|
I am trying to open an hwp file. I used to have an hwp viewer, but changed computers and don't have it anymore. I found this link:
http://www.hancom.co.kr/hancom/eng/product/product01_01.jsp
from this old thread:
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=213303
but that link is dead now.
I search for hwp viewer (in Korean and English) and get lots of hits, but none actually take me to a download site with an executable installation program. All links just run in circles.
Any idea where to get an hpw viewer?
Thanks, |

I was able to view it online with Thinkfree Not now, it is strange buggy.

The HWP files have always driven me crazy. I refuse to install the viewer as it BLOATED. A viewer that is 127 MB!. That is just the viewer. The Microsoft Word Viewer s 25 MB. Plus some Korean programs can be really sneaky as they will install everywhere on the system.
I have a project in mind is to virtualize the program either on a separate virtual machine or into virtual app. |

I tried to use the ThinkFree online to view the hwp file and it said couldn't upload, unknown file type. Like you said, it is buggy.
Now the hwp viewer tries to take control of my system everytime I start my computer. It seems to be trying to upload some more stuff, but windows 7 automatically prompts me and I cancel it. In another few days I'll be able to erase that demon from my computer (hopefully). |

I found a hacked portable made version of HWP 97. Yet will not run on my Win 7 machine. I will try again latter. Send me a message if you want to try the portable version. |
