I say it's a good short.
Mid/long term I don't think they can hold together the vision Jobs materialized. It will de-materialize, slowly. There's been a number of examples of that in recent months. |

I have to agree. I'm going to see about buying some weekly puts on Thursday, once the market recovers from Hurricane Sandy. |

They are also very well capitalised, debt free, dominant in the market for tablets, very well placed in other devices and not particularly highly valued given current earnings.
While I agree with the long term projection of Apple falling back to the pack, I wouldn't be wanting to put a time frame on it.
I picked up Microsoft last year at 10 times earnings. Thank you Mr Market. |

Well played. I got out of my short position last week, but still made a nice profit. I sort of love these market drops. |

Making money is always fun.
But as a user of their stuff I also wish they would pull it together. Their stuff is starting to suck. |

Starting to, yes, but I still think their laptops are better than anything else on the market. The specs aren't fantastic given the price, but the OS is solid and they're pretty much bombproof. |

Yep, I've got a mackbook pro, nothing out there can touch it. Same for iPhone. Which is what sucks, if things keep getting buggier there is nothing better out there to switch to...I sure ain't going to back PCs. |
