Yesterday I was out with my family, 1 child, a newborn and my wife (Korean).
As we tried to board the bus with the folded stroller the driver told us we were NOT allowed to get on and he wouldn't let us. He drove away with the door open and told us to get the next bus. This confused me. It had something to do with the stroller.

Is there a rule to deny service to passengers with strollers or other items for children?

I am just curious.

regards,

oldsurly

I don't think I've ever seen a stroller on the bus before. If it wasn't allowed, why would he tell you to take the next one. Probably just being a dick.

Perhaps your Korean wife could call the bus company and ask why?

Or you could have been an alpha male and just got on anyway (using the baby as a human shield if needed) Very Happy

Was it a sit down bus? Many of those buses are not allowed to take standing passengers on certain routes if the bus is full.

Also some airport buses up in Seoul that cater to airport workers will not take passengers with large pieces of luggage. I don't think your stroller was the problem but maybe.

It was because you were an interracial couple. Lets call a spade a spade.

Well, I'm glad that's sorted.

OK. You're a racist. Racist against Koreans and the proof is that you jump to wild conclusions with no evidence.

No, not a sit down bus but a rather larger green neighbourhood bus. A neighbourhood I have lived in since 2005. So, I was just a bit confused. I usually do not take the bus so I just wanted to know if there was something I had missed over the years.I appreciate it.

It did have something to do with the stroller.

Ok, if that's what you think I am so be it. I'm not going to try to win your approval or try to make you think more highly of me. It is what it is.

Perhaps you should get a little more time under your belt before you call out someone with experience.

I've taken the blue and green buses with my twins and a huge bulky twin stroller. I don't think it was the stroller. Maybe a sucky driver. I had a driver once give me the crossed arms saying no but I just ignored him.

I think he was defending you and speaking to Waygeek.

Why? I have no idea.
