|
|
So my the public school I work at didn't recontract with my company and in 2 weeks my contract becomes void and will have to find a new job unless they transfer me to a new school within the company. They were on rocky terms before I started working there seeing they fired the teacher before me so I figured this would happen.
Anyways I am not sure how the e2 transfe exactly and the time I am given to find a job. Does anyone have any personal expereince or know anyone who has had to do something similar. Any insight would be great.
Thanks |

The most scientific research I have found is to get a recruiter and transfer to a new school. It worked for me, and I hope it's not just folklore now. |

Immigration would help to give time by changing the E2 to a D10. However, you would then need to get it changed back to an E2 after you found a school.
It's easier to just get a new school and avoid the D10 if you can and have the time beforehand. By the looks of the original poster's situation, they are in Korea and could interview with schools. Perhaps a public school will be near impossible now, but I am sure some hagwons out there are looking for a teacher. |

If you stay with the same company but change job locations then you need to report the change to immigration.
If you are let go a transfer is pretty simple:
find new employer
get contract
go to immigration
transfer visa to new employer
go to work.
For a transfer you will need:
Release from previous sponsor (LOR or written termination of employment)
passport
ARC
new contract
new employers business registration (copy)
new employers guarantee (sponsorship form)
application
fees (60k for the transfer and 30k for the visa extension).
