It seems like quite a few people are starting to second-guess their thoughts on Rodman. Some think he may actually be involved with the US govt, some think he's orchestrating his own rogue spy fantasy, and others think he's being manipulated by money.
Whatever his motive, you have to give North Korea credit for being progressive enough to embrace Rodman, given his appearance, lifestyle and politics.

Why do you think they embrace him? The fat guy in charge liked the Chicago Bulls as a kid and is playing out some childhood fantasy, to all the other North Koreans this makes him look less like a God King and more like a chump.

Lol you're actually serious?

You're holding up a country that routinely kills babies known to have chinese fathers ...as a beacon of enlightenment?

This is all and only about Jong-un. The young fuhrer spent two years in college in switzerland, where he watched basketball on tv in between occasionally emerging from his room.

That opened his mind just enough to make him different from the rest of his countrymen. The influence of his time abroad is finally manifesting in his rule.

As a fan of the absurd, I find a certain joy in the whole Rodman-North Korea spectacle.

i.e. He's serving his country, good for him. In this case serving the U.S. and serving the West are the same thing.

Actually he was snubbed by the Dear Leader. Mad
