I'm over 30, married, and have short hairI am an ajumma. I've learned how to toss my bag to "reserve" a seat on the train. I'll give it up for someone ancient, male or female, of course, but middle-aged people aren't fragile little things unable to support themselves.

I also say "ooooaaa" a bit more than I'd like.

Not a full house crowd, huh. Humor is lost on people here on this one. The fact is that the ajumma aggressively tried to cut in and break through a narrow space to grab a seat for one stop. It agitated me and I stopped her because she was in the wrong and I'd been in that exact spot for a long time. There are some ruthless ajummas on the subway, and you can take me "fighting" ajummas as literally as you want, but it was a joke, some of you gave unnecessarily lame responses judging my character for a post made mostly in jest, and that's that. Back off.

If she's active enough to duck and sprint, she isn't ancient enough to need the seat.

She was active enough to plant her head into my ribs to drive me to the right. Not taking that business.

I tend to treat others to meals more. In Korea you have to fight for the bill and sometimes even get physical in order to pay. In America one offer is enough, so I win a bit too many of those battles for the check.

What is oooooaaaa?
Is it like how Koreans say wow?

Putting my hazards on for a plethora of reasons- passing, traffic jams, whatever.

Tapping my horn at the slightest indication someone is about to pull out.

Being more seasonal with my eating habits.

I tend to ram my umbrella into other peoples.
No way my umbrella is going to back down.

I also feel no guilt at taking other peoples umbrellas if I so need.
