I transferred jobs in October 3 months into my contract (school went under). I am now being told by my new school that I need a new health check done. I don't understand why I need new one when I already have my ARC card. My school seems confused. Can someone clarify for me or point me in the right direction?

Your school is going what they thing is the usual route. Schools do not always understand the rules or know of the "but situations. I recommend calling Immigration and asking them. Or waiting when you apply for a transfer/extension for a health check request. If you are lucky it will not be asked for?

My visa has already been transferred and immigration said they didn't need a copy. My manager said it was the BoE who is asking for it.

They are the ones who are saying I need one. I'm not sure if just a copy will do or I need a whole new one. My company told me that the BoE said that I need a whole new one.

EDIT: I'm sorry, it is the Office of Education that is requesting it.

A quick update:

It seems that the MoE is the one who is causing all of the issues. They are saying that because I transferred my visa, I need a new medical check. I talked with immigration and they said that I don't need a new one. My issue is that I JUST had one done in September and I haven't left Korea. I don't understand why the MoE is being so difficult. Don't they have to follow the same laws as immigration? If so, could someone point me to a website that says this (preferably both in English and Korean).

Time spent getting medical check - time spent fighting policy successfully = X

If X>0, then fight the policy
If x</=0, get new medical check
