You should focus on teaching (or doing) what interests you rather than chasing what is "in demand" at the moment. |

Hence what the OP is saying. The MA has already pretty much become an entry-level requirement for a mediocre uni job in Korea paying 2.5 to 3.0 a month. This is due to an ever-increasing competition, a proliferation of online MA's, as well as other things. I don't see this changing anytime soon either, what with the continued cutbacks and a declining enrollment due to the shrinking birthrate. |

Nope. Korean uni's fire (or 'don't renew') non-tenured foreign instructors on one-year contracts all the time for unexpected reasons. Esp. when new policies are passed, administration changes hands, etc. |
