I am looking for some info on obtaining a Chinese visa from Korea. Flights are already booked for Lunar New Year, and I recently saw the new requirements. It seems you can not directly apply for a visa and must go through a travel agency, which is no problem. However I also see that you cannot receive a visa with less than 6 months remaining on your ARC. Mine expires at the end of May which would put me at around 4 months left. I am planning on extending but I'm not sure if I will remain at my current job. Searching through the forums I saw a lot of people suggesting kangsan travel agency in the past, but it seems as of last year they can no longer get visas either. Anyone have any experience getting a visa w/ less than 6 months left. What are my options?
Thanks as always |

If you have a previous, used Chinese visa within the last 2 years on your passport, you're in the clear regardless of ARC.
If this is your first time ever to China, as long as the current Chinese visa doctrine stands, you need to ship your passport back to your home country and have it processed there. |
