|
|
I moved into my place last month. I have been very busy but I plan to go to my local government office to register my key deposit money later this week.
2 quick questions:
1) I moved in a little bit over a month ago. It crossed my mind that maybe there is some silly rule to register it within a week after signing the lease. I'm guessing I can register it anytime, correct?
2) I don't want to drag a Korean friend with me if it is not needed. Should having a Korean friend write it down in Korean for me (what I need) be enough? In other words, is it fairly straight forward?
Thanks!!! |

Foreigners should go to the 등기소 in their Gu to register their contracts, but I can't remember the name of the place within the office though.
Hope this helps a little.... |

You may have a bit of trouble, since all the stuff I've seen says you are required to do it within two weeks. I don't know what happens after that, though. Here's a site I've been looking at, which also has the deposit registration info on it. Hope it works out.
