Darn good post! The Beatles has less talent than the Backstreet Boys IMO. I want to hold your hand, She loves me yeah yeah, please Lady Gaga has more talent. Not that I listen to any of that crap anyways. I am just saying Rolling Stones or the Beatles weren't any better than the crap that is out now.

Really? Not any better?

While I may not be a fan of The Back Street Boys, they are/were quite talented...though don't/didn't write their own music.
The Beatles and Rolling Stones did...there is something to be said for that.
Some of those songs were/are pretty good.

The Stones would have faded away if it weren't for Mick Taylor and the songs he recorded with them.

I don't really get "bands" like the Back Street Boys. No one plays any instruments. Where does the music come from when they dancing around on stage?

300 years from now, the Fab Four still be here. Backstreet will be forgotten.

I don't really get why the Beatles need defending, so I'll stop.

Is rock dead? I submit 5 arguments from the last 5 years that it's not:

White Stripes-Icky Thump

Phoenix-Lasso

Wolfmother-Pobody's Nerfect

Zeus- Are you Gonna Waste My Time?

Rock and Roll ain't dead (in fact, even the music video is still alive).

More like it's hard to keep up with.

I've never been big into classic rock - mainly because I have been in too many bars with cover bands grinding out Led Zep etc - until recently when a friend recommended Grand Funk Railroad. This song is the *beep*:
