After a mountain of paperwork I'm finally ready to come to Daejeon.
Moving to a a part of the city called songchon-dong.....aparently its not too bad,a few people on Facebook have said I'm lucky a some parts of Daejeon feel abit more "in the sticks"
Flying to Korea next Thursday ......wondered if anyone's been to that part of the city...and what they think of it and Daejeon I'm general.
At first I wanted to live in the most obvious place,Seoul .....but then decided this might be good....not stuck in a big western style city but can easily get there when needed....after living in central Beijing ,sometimes I felt like when I went out all I heard was Brits and Americans as the expat scene in Beijing is so huge, you can easily go to certain areas (like where I was living) and see more westerners then locals!
Never realised how big the Beijing expat scene was till I moved there....so hoping Daejeon has enough westerners to mix with...as sometimes it is nice to speak your own language and talk about typical things but authentic enough of an area where I feel like I'm experiencing real "south Korea"
If anyone is in that part of city or has spent lots of time there it would be great to hear from you! |
