Heading to Itaewon tonight.

I hate having to stay up till like 6am waiting on the train. What are the cheapest options for sleeping in the area?

Which way do you sleep? Facing down, or up? Very Happy

Go to a Korean owned bar that is open all night, buy a drink and put your head down. Nobody will bother you. Seriously. Koreans are quite open minded about people sleeping in public places.

Don't do this in a foreign run bar as they will wake you up and kick you out.

To kill a few hours waiting for the subway to start up again at 5 am either go to a PC room or stay at McDonalds- 24 hours.

This. Go to the Lotteria in Seoul Station in the early hours of the morning and I don't think there's one single person in there who isn't treating the place as anything other than a makeshift bed for the night. The 24 hour places generally expect it. The PC bang guys couldn't give a shit if you're playing starcraft, looking at Brazilian dog fart porn or taking a nap.

Itaewonland is a jimjilbang at the top of the hill known for its ladies of the night. It's 8 or 10k, depending on when you get there, and is relatively clean and comfy. It's worth it, to be able to take a shower and lock up your stuff while you sleep in fresh jammies.
