Today the school showed me the 'Gyeonggi Education Law'. Basically there is no such thing.

After i asked to see the document so i could study it, it was clear they were not being honest.

The document they gave me was simply the GEPIK manual. They highlighted that on the GEPIK contract teachers are entitled to 400,000 housing allowance if they are in their own housing.

But my school has deleted other parts of the GEPIK contract to meet the needs of the school, including the pay scale and the working hours. (We work 9 hour days, not 8 hour days as stated in the GEPIK contract). Neither am i an English teacher. I teach the IB. So its clear if the school wishes to they can change the housing allowance they wish to pay me.

I still have not seen the terms of my new contract. Will see it tomorrow.
