I had my fingerprints taken in January 2011. Is that still OK to send to the FBI with a request for a record check? Can fingerprint cards be too old to be accepted? Is there an FBI link that speaks to this you can include in your reply? Thanks. |

Oddly enough they can be too old. I'm not sure how old is too old, but you could google the information or contact the FBI directly. |

The FBI provided this reply to an email I sent them:
Thank you for your inquiry,
The fingeprints need to have been taken within the past 18 months. The reason is, your fingerprints do change if you have a scar, amputation, etc...
