I just got an offer for an interview there and was wondering who's out there. It seems REALLY far away. After living 4 years in this country, I don't want to be isolated again... |

You wouldn't be THAT far out there. Still only an hour and a half from itaewon if you need to. Thirty minutes from 춘천, which is a fun city.
Depends on your interests. If you're an outdoor kind of person that enjoys hiking, camping, water-skiing, and such, it could be great.
If on the other hand, you need concrete under your feet to feel comfortable then I'd probably pass.

From reading your first few lines i just assumed that you were writing from your home country having never been to Korea.
Since you've been here 4 years, you should know what kind of place your looking for (urban v rural). I'm assuming (never assume anything, it makes an ASS of U and ME) that you're presently in Korea. Why not hop on the train this weekend...It's near 'Nami' island. You'll get a good feel for the place.
I don't like there by the way, just visited a few times. Teachers who live there should have more specific information. I'd feel pretty isolated though if i lived there, that's just my personal opinion. |
