Hello...
I just had a conversation with the finance/HR clerk. in broken and minimal English...She told me that she will count my income tax soon. I work for a public school.
So...does that mean that the public and private schools have to send income tax slips to the appropriate teacher's home country's national income tax office?
Is anyone else aware of this practice? I ask because in the past...no employer ever sent an income tax slip to a teacher's home country.
Anyone have any ideas here. Is this a new practice by the IRS, Revinue Canada, etc?
Cheers. |

Without knowing what nationality you are and how long you been working in Korea (for tax exemption purpose), "counting" income tax smells awfully fishy. |

She'll file your Korean tax return.
Although there are bilateral tax treaties with some of countries who supply E2 teachers to Korea there is NO reporting of income between Korea and any of those countries so to answer your question, NO, they don't send a slip to the tax office of your home country.
