I'm looking for recommendations of where to stay in Gyeongju. I have some friends coming to Korea and we will only be there for 2 nights. I'm not looking for anything too fancy, but I do want a private bathroom.

Any suggestions?

there are cheaper motels generally farther away from the bus terminal.
seong gon dong has cheaper motels but its a 5 min taxi ride back into town (just say seong gon dong motel or something to the taxi driver).
the motels around the bus terminal are usually priced around 70-100,000.
if you take the train, there are a few motels sporadically placed in the back streets downtown to the right, across the road from the station. theyll be about 30,000 up wards but not as nice.
if you walk away from the bus terminal, following the motel street (down and right) the motels get cheaper. if you cross the road heading downtown, theyre cheaper again and youre also closer to the parks/downtown.
the hotels are at beomun resort range from about 150,000 a night to 1000000 ish (im guessing but theyre novotel etc).
i cant think of any more
