My partner and I work at the same hagwon. When our director was filing for our ARCs at Immigration we noticed she gave them a copy of a contract that we had never seen or signed, with a significantly higher salary listed. It's been 4 months of long days that we could nonetheless put up with, but now with the new year she's started to try and add hours and cut breaks in way that even the Korean teachers are disgusted with (3 of them left last week and she hasn't hired enough to make up for the extra classes). If we get a copy of the contract she gave to Immigration can we pressure her into meeting our demands by threatening to take it to the Labor Board to compare it to what we're actually working/getting paid, or is this a ridiculous notion that won't work in Korea?

I don't know about the legal side of things, but immigration will have a copy on hand. If you're in Seoul, I believe the documents office is on the 7th floor.

The contract submitted to Immigration is the legal one. They should have a copy of it for you if you request one.

OP, there may also be contract language changes in the phony submitted contract.
