Does a F2-1 visa holder need a CDC to work in Korea? I haven't heard of a CDC before in Korea since I haven't worked here in such a long time. But I am planning to come back soon and find work.

Yes, since 2011 it has been a requirement for F-series holders to submit paperwork like CRC, degree, health check. After you catch a few wanted murderers and many drug using and importing Korean Americans , the government got wise on closing that loophole.

In this case it is not to immigration but to local MOE who will get it. Through they can be lax for hagwons on collecting it.
