Lamest American celebration thing ever. St Patrick is rolling in his grave.

'I'm Irish-American! My great-great grandfather was from Cork!'

'I'm Italian-American! My grandmother used to make spaghetti!'

You're right. They don't understand the true meaning of the holiday. If you remember any of it you didn't have enough to drink.
